In 2010 Our newly Formed Social Club sat down with members of the Fenor Play park Committee and set out on Setting up a Fund Raising event to help raise Funds for Phase 1 of the Play park in our village which was held on May Bank Holiday Sunday of that year.

Once word spread through the right channel's within the local area a large crowd turned up on the day to help what would become known as one of waterford best Play parks once it was fully completed.

With the great success of the event in 2010 it was decided that the club would use the 2011 event to help with phase 2 of the play park and just like the year previous it proved to be a great success with,

a flock of people coming to the event to try their hand at one of irelands oldest sports.

2012 saw the club looking for a new project to help and it was decided that the Bowling around the bog 2012 would go towards helping 2 local volunteer groups the Rnli and Fenor Lourdes Fund,

and just like the previous 2 years crowds flocked to our village on the Day to help raise funds for these,

2 great cause.

2013 would see the continuation of the bowling around the bog event with the chosen charity/project being Fenor Gaa club and just like the previous years the event was considered a great success in helping the local gaa club raise much needed funds.

2014 saw a small twist put on the event with our club growing reputation we were able to get hold of 2 of our sports greatest players to come down to fenor and hold a exhibition score for the crowds to show the standard of our senior road bowling players through the country with Armagh native Thomas Mackle taking on cork Martin Coppinger.

2015 saw the club committee return to help the local Rnli station with our 2015 event.

2014 senior score provided to be a great success so club members decided to ask the previous year winner,

Thomas Mackle to return to Fenor to take on a new challenge and play Willie o'Donovan,

like the previous years event the crowd was giving a great spectacle with Thomas Mackle coming out victorious again.

2015 also saw a first for our club with double's Ladies score with or club member,

Wendy Cullinane teaming up with Carmel Ryan to take on Cork Natives Lydia Sexton and

Emma Fitzpatrick which saw the cork girls come on winners on Distance.

2016 was were the bowling around the Bog started to wind down with some club members heading off to Holland to cheer on the Irish representatives in the European championships it was decided that we would put the event on hold due to a lack of club members available to help organize the event.

The event ultimately took a back seat as the may bank holiday saw waterford host numerous events over that weekends which saw us not having the event again until 2018,

when the club was contacted by members of the Dfba committee in early 2018 to help fund raise the replacement of the parish defibrillators.

given the short notice the club had in organizing the event it was decided we would just ask our neighboring club killea to join us on the day and help raise funds for the vital equipment needed for our local community.
